Dr David Wrench is a consultant haematologist who has worked at Guy’s and St Thomas’ since 2012.
David treats patients with haematological cancers as part of a multidisciplinary team and investigates new presentations to haematology such as suspected cancer, lumps, anaemia and abnormal blood counts. The main focus of his work is to improve the treatment and outcome of patients with lymphoma.
David completed a PhD thesis researching molecular mechanisms of the transformation follicular lymphoma and continues to author peer-reviewed research and guidelines.
He has an interest in novel therapies and actively recruits to national and international clinical trial studies as a PI across a range of lymphoma diagnoses in both new and relapse settings.
David is the clinical lead for Teenage and Young Adult (TYA) cancer, co-chair of the SELCA haemato-oncology group, governance lead for clinical haematology, a member of the NCRI low grade lymphoma group and a member of the Blood Cancer UK Healthcare advisory panel.
David’s clinical interests include general haematology, haemato-oncology, lymphoma treatment and transformation of follicular lymphoma
