Mr Kumar Kunde

Mr Kumar Kunde is a consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital for the last 17 years.  He has over 30 years’ experience in obstetrics and gynaecology having trained in India, the UK and the USA. This international exposure to the practice of obstetrics has given him a unique overview of different maternity healthcare systems, enabling him to provide world-class care for pregnant women at St Thomas’.

Kumar leads the gynaecology minimal access surgery service at St Thomas’ and has excelled in the academic field, publishing widely in both national and international journals of obstetrics and gynaecology.

He provides evidence-based care which is effective and safe for mother and baby. Kumar specialises in high risk obstetric cases having acquired expert skills in managing complex births and pregnancies. As a leading consultant obstetrician, Kumar firmly believes in providing continuity of care and is available promptly to support couples 24/7 throughout pregnancy. The positive feedback that he receives from women under his care is a testament to his ability to provide individualised treatment and guidance that meets the emotional and medical needs of the couple, making their journey in pregnancy and childbirth truly memorable.
