Our renowned paediatric renal service delivers excellent diagnosis, treatment and care for children with kidney problems. Working together with our urology service we care for children and young people from across the UK and beyond.
We are the primary transplant and dialysis centre for more than nine million people. The first renal transplant in England took place at Evelina London Children’s Hospital more than 50 years ago and now we undertake approximately 30 transplants per year and have around 100 patients under follow-up post transplant.
We have approximately 25 patients on dialysis. We have a large chronic kidney disease service and multi-disciplinary approach working with our bladder and urology clinicians. We have extensive expertise and experience across all aspects of paediatric nephrology.
Our vision is to improve the lives of children and their families through care and treatment that is entirely child and family centred. Our outcomes are amongst the best in the world and we constantly strive to improve our already outstanding care.
